We continue to familiarize you with Amazon terms. Test yourself — do you know what "A10", "API" or "UPC" mean?

UPC (Universal Product Code)

This is a unique identification number assigned to a product. It is a 12-digit code containing information about the manufacturer, size, weight and other data.

A10

This is Amazon's own algorithm. It determines the rating of goods as follows:

  • analyzes the lists of goods,
  • matches them with buyers' search queries,
  • and then places the most relevant ones on the search results pages.

API

This is an abbreviation of "application programming interface". It is an intermediary that allows two software applications to communicate with each other.

Brand

A brand is a product produced by a particular company under a particular name. A brand is represented by a name, term, design, symbol or any other characteristic that distinguishes a product from other products.

FBA

FBA stands for Fulfillment by Amazon. This is a service that is provided by prep centers or Amazon to store the seller's goods in their warehouse. And when the buyer purchases the item, the prep centers prepare, pick, pack and ship the item on behalf of the seller.
