Glossary Terms
Listing — A page containing information about an item's offer, such as price, condition, and shipping terms. This data helps buyers make informed purchasing decisions and allows Amazon's systems to assess store quality.
HazMat — Hazardous materials: substances or materials that pose a risk to health, safety, property, or the environment due to flammable, pressurized, corrosive, or otherwise harmful contents. Sellers must provide security documentation and obtain Amazon authorization before selling such items. The Seller Assistant App identifies HazMat-category items directly on product pages.
ASIN — Amazon Standard Identification Number: a unique 10-character alphanumeric identifier assigned by Amazon to catalog products.
Seller — A company or individual offering goods for sale. There is no direct buyer interaction; the seller functions as a supplier of resaleable or self-produced merchandise.
Keywords — Search terms or phrases used to target potential customers. These must align with the queries customers enter into Amazon's search bar to discover products, and researching them improves listing visibility through SEO.
